In some states, an active chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) is the major Single Payer activist organization for the state.

Note that in some states, “Health Care for All” is a Single Payer organization (CA, CO, MN, OR, PA, TX, VT) whereas in others (MA) the organization with that name does not promote Single Payer, and in fact, has significant corporate, profit-first insurers in its membership.
